Just got around to posting this and it just happens to be The “loveliest” day of the year! A little lame…LOL

This was my very first in home couples session and I am totally in love with it.

It was a perfect rainy, cold day. Best weather for an afternoon indoors with a cup of coffee and some snuggling.

I typically am an outdoor, natural light photographer I don’t care for inside photos but I love these that have lots of windows and lots of lighting. I loved these so much i’ve done 3 in a week! I can’t wait to work with more gorgeous couples in their home where they feel comfortable and just talk and laugh and not really worry about smiling at me or at the camera! Every session I’ve done in home so far has been the most relaxed and fun session I’ve ever done because its just interacting with each other there’s not many photos of the couple smiling at the camera but I love these way more than any posed session. Lifestyle photos will be my new favorite.

Sarah and Josh have done so much work on their house to make it a home. I love her decor and her eye for simple yet so elegant decor!

They are expecting their first baby boy in just two short weeks he will be here and they can’t wait to meet him!

So, now I’ll let Sarah tell you how it all went from her perspective!!

I’ve always loved doing photo shoots, so when joy asked to do “a in home” shoot with me and my hubby I was all for it! It was nice to not get super dressed up and drive somewhere. We just cleaned the house a little and dressed casual, since we wanted the mood to be more “real life” and cozy. I really enjoyed how laid back it was, Joy did great at capturing real laughter and some sweet intimate moments. I would definitely do it again!

I am hoping to do many more of these but also look forward to beautiful Spring coming soon. Then besides these cozy indoor shots we can also get outside with blue skies, flowers, butterflies, birds and all of the lovely’s that the Creator of all life has blessed us with
